Major(s) Pre-law with majors in International Relations with a concentration in Human Rights, and a self-designed major in Victim Psychology and Recovery
About Me As a first generation Chinese American from Connecticut, I am the middle child of three girls and my family originates from Hong Kong. I have had a strong passion advocating against modern day slavery since I was thirteen years old. In the past five years, I was able to present at international and national conferences such as the United Nations, Yale University, Dakar, Senegal, and the University of Illinois to educate students and teachers about how I have made a difference in my community. In my spare time, I absolutely love to golf, drive, learn about new cultures, eat delicious dishes and desserts, and enjoy taking spontaneous trips.
My experience with CCASA I was a member of the general body in '08-'09 and now have taken the initiative as the new role as the Political and Culture chair. CCASA today is definitely one of the best clubs at Connecticut College, not mentioning that it is the most successful and well-run club!
Why I joined CCASA I wanted to surround myself with students who really cared about the Asian culture. As a Chinese American myself, I strongly value my culture and with CCASA we are able to embrace all Asian cultures with cultural events. With this, my vision for the club is to expand and make CCASA even bigger throughout campus, add more annual events throughout the year, and invite speakers to educate Connecticut College.
My plans for after Conn I wish to join the FBI as a Victim Psychologist to work specifically with victims of human trafficking.
