About Me
I'm one of those people who gets involved in everything they feel passionate about: right now I'm also editor-in-chief of The College Voice newspaper and Chair of Academic Affairs of the Student Government Association. I am extremely passionate about allowing students to voice their opinions and frustrations in an open forum and offering an official source for students to see what's happening on campus -- I am equally as passionate about promoting and improving academic affairs on campus. In my spare time, I enjoy photography, traveling, studying ancient history and mythology, and eating exotic food (especially spicy!).
Why I joined CCASA
I am fascinated by Asian culture, particularly that of Southeast Asia, and hope to travel there extensively after graduation. Being a part of CCASA has helped to better educate me about all Asian cultures and identities and to promote their diversity on campus. I look forward to serving this year as webmaster to communicate to the campus and larger community about CCASA and our mission through a digital medium.
My experience with CCASA
I've been in love with CCASA since freshmen year when I helped out at numerous CCASA events. Sophomore year I continued to be heavily involved when I was House Manager for the Diwali event in fall and then served as treasurer in spring. Last year, I attended around 80 percent of the CCASA executive board meetings as an unofficial member. I'm proud to once again serve on the EB!
